What Are Coil Cords?

Coil cords are recognizable for their spring-like shape and commonly associated with land-line telephones. The expandable functionality takes up less space when contracted, but stretches and becomes flexible when extended. All the while keeping the inner wires safe from harm and durable for all applications.

Why Use Coil Cords?

Coil cords are commonly used for car chargers, instrumental audio cables, or communication coils. The practicality and aesthetic appeal of coil cords make them the perfect solution for electronic, communication, and networking solutions. Coil cords can be customized to contain up to three dozen conductors, and be made to carry power, data, signal, or a combination.

Need Custom Cable Cords?

We extrude our own materials, so there is no limit to what we can manufacture. We will work together to find the coil cord solution that exceeds your needs! Whether it's a coil cord of extraordinary length, like 20 feet. Or it has two conductors and a PVC-jacket, or maybe it's a coil cord with ten conductors and a polyurethane jacket. Designing custom cable cords are what we have been doing for 25 years.

SAE J1939 Coil Cords

We offer a full range of custom SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) J1939 coil cords.

J1939 cables are made specifically for the application providing the optimum solution to OEM and aftermarket equipment manufacturers.

Teflon Jacketed Coil Cords

Manufacturing coil cords for harsh environmental applications. Meridian coil cords provide a combinationof strength, flexibility and resistance to harsh chemical, atmospheric , and industrial environments across wide operating procedures.

Polytetrafluoroethylene is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that has countlss applications across product and industry. We use this high-grade material to ensure durability and extended life and perfomance in demanding conditions.

3D Printing Coil Cord Prototypes

We utilize state-of-the-art 3D printing practices to quickly, effectively, and cost efficiently prototype new designs in a variety of materials. This allows us to prototype parts before hard tooling.

Saving you money, saving us time, and providing us both with the innovation and quality we need to succeed.

Low Pressure Molding

Low Pressure Molding allows us to overmold or encapsulate sensitive items such as circuit boards, and create connectors that meet IP68 ratings!

Need Something Particular?

We have the capabilities to custom design, extrude and manufacture all types of coil cords even cords intended for Outdoor or Medical use.

For coil cords intended for the outdoors, we will add a UV inhibitor to the jacketing material. Which drasticall extends the life of coiled cords in outdoor applications. While Medical applications often require the use of non-volatile jacketing for bio-sensitive coil cords.

If you're needing an exceptionally high level of mechanical strength or perhaps a cord that cannot be cut and including:

  • steel
  • Kevlar®
  • Spectra®
  • Teflon®
